Why do you feel you deserve a wedding on ice?: My fiancee Mike & I have been engaged for a year & still havent set a date. 2011 has been an extremely bad year for us & hasn't allowed us to think of making any wedding plans. The past few months we have lost some of our closest loved ones & helped some heal. In May/June my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer & underwent a masectomy. While she was coping, recovering & trying to heal my stepfather, her husband was diagnosed with lung, bone & liver cancer & passed 3 weeks later. Then in August Mike lost his best friend, his grandmother, unexpectedly. So as you can see getting excited & planning a wedding has been the last thing from our minds, as much as we can't wait for the day to come. I think this wedding on ice is wonderful, its spontaneous & the best way possible to start the new year together as husband & wife.
